Aurora Networks' family of standalone and embedded software products features
network monitoring and management with complete support for industry-standard SNMP. Our compliance
with SNMP standards (and proven integration with Castle Rock SNMPc, Micromuse Netcool and several
other NMS packages) results in your ability to manage the entire Aurora HFC and Ethernet product
line from any location having Internet access, and to directly manage Aurora equipment using
standard SNMP protocol without a bulky external SNMP controller.
Aside from SNMP support, additional management tools from Aurora include:
front panel alphanumeric display and pushbutton navigation menus on PS3000 series
power supplies
local control via a craft port (serial) interface on the front panel of PS3000 series power
supplies
Web-based management supporting IE and Firefox browsers

Aurora’s Opti-Trace family of network monitoring and management applications, comprised of:
Opti-Trace CMS for direct local monitoring and management of all modules
in a CH3000 Chassis through power supply craft port

in a CH3000 Chassis via IP/Ethernet connection
Opti-Trace EMS for remote monitoring and management of optical nodes

The Opti-Trace suite of software applications provides a comprehensive
network management system. Running on a Windows®-based platform,
these applications offer, among other features, open standard TCP/IP SNMP support;
compliance with ANSI/SCTE HMS standards compliance; built-in, all-digital
node monitoring that eliminates RF transponders; unique one-click broadcast/narrowcast level
balancing; advanced node daisy-chain support with automatic network discovery; effortless
Ethernet provisioning; and comprehensive management to localize network faults.
