Network Design Services
Aurora’s Chief Technology Office, headed by industry luminary
Oleh Sniezko, and our Network Architecture and Field Services technical team,
with more than 100 years of collective experience in the cable industry and
headed by Doug Combs, are frequently made available to provide up to 1,000 miles
of optical network design services per month during the term of a contract.
To begin the design process, Aurora meets with the customer’s local engineering
team to understand build plans and time frames and continues to coordinate with
the local engineering team to design the optical network for deployment.
Because architectures continue to evolve and migrate down different
paths, and because customers often require differing network solutions for
different service areas, our design team employs the breadth of Aurora's optical
network equipment to provide the greatest flexibility in designing and deploying
''best fit'' solutions to implement these migrating architectures.
The latest advancements in architectures have been in optical networks'
subscriber access, where access platform variants have each been optimized for
different service area demands. Aurora Networks' optical node and design services provide proven
customizable solutions for scaling such bandwidth-per-subscriber and matching service
level requirements, and the designs that result from incorporating these nodes
support multiple technologies (LcWDM™, DWDM, CWDM) for the deployment
of a wide variety of access architectures (e.g., traditional HFC,
segmented-node HFC, Fiber Deep, Fiber to the Home, PON). After a design has been
finalized, Aurora produces a quote and bill of materials for approval.
These design services are provided to Aurora Networks’ customers free of charge.
