PF3000 Passive Modules Frames
Enlarged Photo (44k)

Aurora Network’s model PF3000 3RU frame can be populated with up to 16 passive (unpowered) modules. This frame offers the network operator a simple platform with maximum flexibility and high packaging density for installation of all passive networking components such as muxes, demuxes and splitters.

The PF3000 features a very high packaging density design accommodating a wide variety of passive modules. Modules, depending on function performed, are either half platform depth or full platform depth. The PF3000 accepts up to 16 half- or full-depth passive modules or configurations combining the use of both half- and full-depth. The high packaging density and configuration flexibility make the PF3000 ideal for both Headend and Hub applications where rack space is at a premium.

The model PF3000N-FM-00 4RU frame offers all the advantages of the PF3000, and adds a fiber management tray for routing, organizing and further protecting fiber optic cabling, while the model PF3000C-FM-00 4RU frame provides further protection with a tinted Plexiglass front cover.

Half-width (8-chassis-slot) and full-width (16-chassis-slot) patch panels are available for all models of passive modules frames as well as the CH3000 chassis. Half-width patch panels hold 24 or 72 standard SC/APC bulkhead adapters, while full-width patch panels hold 48 or 144 adapters. Patch panels may be ordered with or without the bulkhead adapters (which include integrated safety shutters) already pre-installed.
