Cable Veteran Andrew Ferraro Joins Aurora Networks as VP of Sales for Northeast Region of U.S.

Santa Clara, CA — September 6, 2006 — Aurora Networks has named a 33-year cable industry veteran, Andrew Ferraro, as vice president of sales for its northeast region. In this position, Ferraro will leverage his extensive network engineering knowledge to assist cable operators seeking to optimize network performance, expand and upgrade systems, and deploy new advanced services. Ferraro’s territory includes New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Vermont, Maine and New Hampshire.

Ferraro’s impressive engineering and sales career has spanned roles at a major cable operator, programming distributor and two manufacturers. He joined the industry in 1973 as a technician for Group W Cable/Teleprompter Cable, progressing to plant manager and regional engineer. Ferraro next served in several key roles at Reiss Media Entertainment, including vice president of engineering operations. In 1992 he joined Arris Group and held several vice president of sales positions over a five-year period. Most recently, Ferraro served as vice president of strategic accounts for Confluent Photonics, a startup company he joined in 2003.

Throughout his career, Ferraro has made several technical presentations and authored numerous technical papers for the National Cable Telecommunications Association (NCTA). He is also a long-time member of the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE).

Ferraro holds an associate in arts degree in electronics from the RCA Institute of Electronics in New York City and attended the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
