Aurora Networks Promotes Three to VP and Hires Sudhesh Mysore
Santa Clara, CA June 14, 2005 Aurora Networks has promoted
three of its regional sales directors to the position of regional vice president of
sales and has hired industry veteran Sudhesh Mysore to its research and development team.
Eddie Feghali, Aurora’s director of Western Region sales since 2001, has
been promoted to regional vice president of sales for Eastern Europe and the Middle
East. Feghali has more than 20 years of cable telecommunications experience, is an
active member of the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE), and has
written articles for CED magazine and SCTE publications. Prior to joining Aurora,
Feghali was the founder and president of Advanced Communication Services. He has also
held executive positions at HFC Technical Services, Silicon Valley Communications and
Times Mirror Cable TV.
David Lang has been promoted to regional vice president of sales for the
Mountain and Mid-America regions of the United States after serving as director of
sales for those regions. In his new role, Lang will continue to direct Aurora’s sales
strategy in these markets, as well as foster relationships with cable operators and
distributors. Lang, who has a reputation for skillfully assessing network needs and
identifying the equipment that provides the optimal solution, held engineering and
sales positions within the cable industry for 22 years prior to joining Aurora Networks
in 2002.
Aurora Networks has also promoted Garry O’Neil from regional director of
sales for Canada and the Great Lakes to regional vice president of sales for these
markets. O’Neil, an active member of SCTE for more than 25 years, has held management
positions at Scientific Atlanta (Canada) and several value added resellers in Canada
during his cable career which spans two decades.
In addition to the three promotions, Sudhesh Mysore, Ph.D., joins Aurora
Networks as executive director of advanced telecommunications technologies. In this
role, he will leverage his expertise in optical components, metro and access network
architectures and digital technologies to drive development of Aurora’s innovative
fiber optic solutions. Dr. Mysore is a 1999 recipient of the distinguished Polaris
Award, an honor SCTE annually bestows on an individual for exceptional achievement in
the development and use of optical fiber technology. He has held senior engineering
positions at MCI and Sprint and was the director of network architecture at AT&T
Broadband. Most recently Mysore was chief technical officer (CTO) for IPITEK. Mysore
is an active member of SCTE and IEEE, and has written more than 25 published technical
articles.
