Aurora’s Ron Wolfe Will Share Triple Play Solutions for Small Systems During Cable-Tec Expo Technical Session

Santa Clara, CA — June 9, 2005 — The Society of Cable Engineers (SCTE) has invited Ron Wolfe, industry veteran and senior product manager for Aurora Networks, to conduct a technical session titled ''Making the Triple Play Competitive for Small Systems'' during Cable-Tec Expo in San Antonio.

During the workshop, Wolfe will join Frank Park, director of engineering for Bresnan Communications, to focus on the proven success of using virtual hubs to cost-effectively deploy advanced broadband services in smaller markets. Wolfe will draw upon his vast cable telecommunications experience which spans 27 years and includes nearly two decades of service at leading cable operators including Warner Cable, ATC, and Time Warner Cable. During his career, Wolfe has participated in a number of strategic technology projects including the development and execution of Time Warner Cable’s HFC network strategy and planning full service network trials. He is currently responsible for the strategic planning, forecasting and marketing of Aurora Networks’ broad line of analog and digital optical transport products. Wolfe is a Senior Member of the SCTE and was honored as SCTE’s Member of the Year in 1992. While serving on the SCTE Rocky Mountain Chapter board of directors, Wolfe helped launch the competition that has expanded into SCTE’s National Cable-Tec Games.

More than 10,000 cable industry engineering professionals are expected to attend this year’s Cable-Tec Expo. Wolfe’s session will be held on Thursday, June 16 at 11:00 a.m. and Friday, June 17 at 1:30 p.m. at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center.
